How to complete the quest
1. Find “Case with precision tools”. The item can be looted from bodies and containers, so look on any map.
2. Survive and extract on Customs. The extract must be active — extract status is visible in the radar's “Extracts” tab.
3. Kill 3: Scavs on Factory / on Factory. Kills only count within a single raid if the quest condition says so (here — in a single raid).
4. Place “Case with precision tools” in the marked zone on any map (the zone is highlighted on the radar map) and leave the raid alive.
Quest text from Mechanic
Been waiting for you, friend. My workers found a rare ultrasonic thickness gauge at the customs warehouse, along with some equally useful equipment. There's nothing better that can give me that kind of precision in my measurements!
I can't risk it, so I'm trusting you with this recovery mission. Pick up the package at Customs and deliver it to the designated point at Polikhim. There's something I've been wanting to test for a while... Wait, you didn't know about the industrial area shortcut?
I used it back when I worked at Polikhim. It was the only way to get equipment to the plant that would otherwise be stuck in customs for months.
A fellow forester showed me this path. He said that people were afraid to pick mushrooms near the plant, so it was always full of good pickings.

With the radar: objectives on the map and a safe extract
- The objective zone is highlighted by the “Task zones” layer, the objective marker is on the map, and the distance to it is shown in meters.
- The required items (Case with precision tools) are highlighted in loot by the “Quest” filter, and the planner shows “Still to find” and “Can hand over”.
- Enemies, bosses and guards are visible on the map in advance, and the “aiming at you” alert triggers when someone aims at you.
- Extract status (open / condition / countdown / closed) and the route to the extract are in the “Extracts” tab.
- The “Can be completed this raid” section in the planner shows that this quest can actually be completed on the current map.
